Orbit, an initiative by AIC T-Hub, is one of India’s first dedicated SpaceTech Incubation Programs aimed at building a strong and sustainable spacetech ecosystem in the country.

The program is designed to accelerate SpaceTech startups by supporting them from the early stage through to successful commercialization. With a focus on global collaboration, Orbit provides startups with access to product development resources, sector-specific mentorship, and strategic market entry opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

Startups meeting the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

Stage of Startup: Early-stage startups (idea-to-early revenue stage).

Technology Maturity: Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3 or above is preferred.

Pilot or Proof of Concept (PoC): Preferred but not mandatory.

Company Incorporation: The startup must be incorporated and registered in India.

AIC T-Hub has partnered with SpanTrik, a pioneering spacetech startup, to support its innovation in rocket engine development. Through an MoU with IARE, we have facilitated a dedicated testing space, enabling the startup to refine and productise its advanced rocket engine technology. As part of Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi, SpanTrik was showcased among leading innovators, gaining national recognition. The event also provided the opportunity to engage with Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, further strengthening its position in India's space sector.

STEM & Space, in collaboration with ARIES Observatory, conducted the IAU Teacher's Training Program from November 25–27, 2024, in Nainital. Supported by OAE India and funded by the IAU, the program trained 20 primary and middle school science teachers from the North Zone.The workshop introduced Spacetopia, a user-friendly platform for integrating space education into classrooms. Activities included night sky observations, a DOT telescope visit, and panel discussions on astronomy education. Designed to inspire educators and students, the program equipped teachers with skills to foster interest in astronomy and expand STEM engagement in schools.

No, we do not take any equity or stake in participating startups.

What are the selection criteria?

Startups must meet the following criteria to be considered for the program:

● A strong founding team with relevant industry experience.
● Registered and operating in India.
● Early Stage Startups
● Minimum Viable Product (MVP) ready for Validation.
● Actively working towards product commercialisation.
● Willing to engage, participate, and collaborate with the program team.
